Tea Dances and Singalongs

The Stowmarket and District Dementia community Group regularly host dementia-friendly events that are open to all throughout each year.

Previously, the Tea Dances have seen themes such as 80th Anniversary of VE Day, 1960s, music through the decades and more. They usually feature singing and from Ralph Meyers and entertainment from Bob Hall. Tea Dances are usually available for a ticketed price, which includes a wonderful afternoon tea of sandwiches and cakes and most importantly, an opportunity to socialise and meet new people! These events are held at Rookery Bowls Club in Stowmarket.

The Singalongs by Stowmarket and District Dementia community Group are regularly held at The Rampant Horse in Needham Market and are often free to attend although donations are appreciated. Themes have included Valentines, Christmas, Summer and more! The singalong is led by Mark and Jill from our Let’s Sing at Red Gables group – a relaxed singing group based at Red Gables for those living with or affected by a neurological condition.
